Appearance: clear, colorless liquid.
Physical and Chemical Data:
Solubility: ethanol is miscible with water, as well as in ether, chloroform, glycerol and methanol to most organic solvents.
Characteristic:
1. Normally, Ethanol is a kind of volatile colorless transparent liquid, low toxicity. The pure liquid is not suitable to drink;
2. Ethanol aqueous solution have the smell of wine and slightly irritating, taste sweet;
3. Ethanol is flammable, and when the steam is mixed with air, they can explode;
4. It's miscibility with water in any ratio, ethanol also can miscible with chloroform, ether and methanol, acetone and most other organic solvents.
Main indexes:
Ethanol can be used to produce acetic acid, beverage, essence, dyes, fuels, etc. Volume fraction of 70%~75% ethanol usually used as a disinfectant in medical. Ethanol also is widely used in:
1. Chemical industry;
2. Medical and health care;
3. Food industry;
4. Agricultural production and etc.
We normally list 2 years as the shelf life in our COA, the real shelf life is actually much longer than 2 years if it's stocked in good condition (drums are sealed well, away from direct sun-light, moisture and other incompatible chemical materials.
