Appearance:
HEDPS (20.3-21.7%): Colorless to yellowish transparent liquid;
HEDPS (60%): White powder.
Characteristic:
HEDPS is the sodium salt of HEDP, HEDPS is an good scale inhibitor for calcium carbonate, it can be used in low pressure boiler water system, circulating water system, industrial and municipal cleaning water system and swimming pool;
The solid HEDPS is white powder, soluble in water, easily deliquescence, suitable for use in winter and freezing districts. It is a kind of organophorphonic acid scale and corrosion inhibitor, can form stable complex with Fe, Cu and Zn ions, it can dissolve the oxides on metal surface, it has good scale and corrosion inhibition effect under 250ºC;
HEDPS is widely used in circulating cool water system, medium and low pressure boiler, oil field water pipelines as scale and corrosion inhibitor in fields such as electric power, chemical industry, metallurgy, fertilizer, etc.. In light woven industry, HEDPS is used as detergent for metal and nonmetal. In dyeing industry, HEDPS is used as peroxide stabilizer and dye-fixing agent; In non-cyanide electroplating, HEDPS is used as chelating agent.

Chemical propertiesThis product is brownish yellow viscous liquid. Relative density (20ºC) 1.40. Pure product melting point 198~199ºC, soluble in water and ethanol. The solid product is highly hygroscopic. UsesCan complex with a variety of metal ions. Used as scale inhibitor in cooling water and boiler water treatment. Good heat resistance. 200ºC still has good effect. Also can be used as corrosion inhibitor and additive for non-cyanide plating.
We normally list 2 years as the shelf life in our COA, the real shelf life can be slightly longer than 2 years if it's stocked in good condition (bags are sealed enough, away from direct sun-light, moisture and other incompatible chemical materials).
